The Electronics Engineering Technician will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of various spatial measurement equipment as it pertains to survey, mapping, construction, and related construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment• Estimate service costs• Bench service and calibrate various measurement equipment in-house including, but not limited to: total stations, optical and digital theodolites, lasers, locators, optical and digital levels, GPS systems, and data collectors• Maintain company rental equipment fleet• Update all repair and parts databases and maintain records for inventory control in SAP• Perform other tasks as assigned or required by the Operations Manager or National Service Manager
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Electronics Service Technician • Minimum of 2 years experience repairing Trimble robotic total stations, data collectors, mechanical total stations and GNSS receivers.• Minimum of 2 years experience repairing Spectra lasers, digital theodolites & auto-levels.• Experience calibrating digital levels.• Experience repairing UHF radios
